We are a cattery that specializes in typey British Shorthairs

At Hästbyn’s cattery, it is Anna Sjöqvist who leads the work with great passion and care. Together with her daughter Emma, who shares the same love for the British Shorthair, they make sure that every kitten gets the best possible start in life. Anna has many years of experience in cat breeding and a deep understanding of the breed’s unique needs and characteristics. Emma contributes with her enthusiasm and eye for detail, which makes them a strong team. Together they strive to create a safe and loving environment where every cat can thrive and develop.

The British Shorthair is a wonderful breed that has won hearts all over the world with its charm and pleasant temperament. At Hästbyn’s in Västerhaninge, we love these cats for their friendly and affectionate nature. They are known for being calm and easygoing, which makes them perfect companions in both large and small families. Their soft coat and round face give them a distinctive appearance that many find irresistible. Living with a British Shorthair means having a loyal friend by your side, always ready for a cozy moment or a playful break.
