Our team
Belantine is a family team. I’m Bel, supported by my husband Jai, our daughter Chelsey and our son Jesse. From feeding and daily care to being there when kittens are born, everyone helps with the cats.
When I’m away showing and promoting our cattery, the family keeps everything running with the same care and attention. It is truly a team effort.

About the breed
The British Shorthair is known for its calm, steady nature and quietly affectionate character. With their round features and plush coats, they often enjoy being close to their people without needing to be the centre of attention.
They are generally easy-going companions who appreciate a comfortable home, gentle play and a predictable routine. A British Shorthair can suit households looking for a loving cat with an independent streak and a relaxed approach to family life.
